Geoverbund ABC/J Young Academics Award
The Geoverbund ABC/J Young Academics Award honours outstanding doctoral theses and research work carried out at the member institutes of the Geoverbund ABC/J. We congratulate the 2021 award winners and look forward to the presentations on their exciting research work at the virtual award ceremony on 19 November 2021.
Dr. Sabrina Schnitt from the Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology at the University of Cologne was awarded 1st prize for her research work on Advancing Ground-Based Water Vapor Profiling through Synergy of Microwave Radiometer and Dual-Frequency Radar.
Dr. Christoph Böhm from the Institute of Geophysics and Meteorology at the University of Cologne received 2nd prize for his work Atmospheric water supply to the Atacama Desert from newly developed satellite remote sensing techniques and reanalysis.
Dr. Jonas Tusch from the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy at the University of Cologne was awarded 3rd prize for his research on Tungsten Isotope Constraints on Archean Geodynamics.
